I was pleased to get the chance to sit down with Ed, the host of The Dokeo Podcast. In this discussion we touch on applying philosophy to our everyday lives, cutting off cycles of familial trauma, the idea of leaving a legacy, and forgiveness. A Kick In The Teeth
Wednesday Jul 21, 2021
Wednesday Jul 21, 2021
I get knocked down, but I get up again, you're never gonna keep me down. Sorry, I couldn't resist. This one's all about getting your teeth kicked in (metaphorically, I hope) and coming out the other side more capable and driven.

Ryan: Perspective, Values, and the Future of Trades
Wednesday Jul 14, 2021
Wednesday Jul 14, 2021
This was one of the most natural and enjoyable conversations I've had to date. Ryan and I have a nearly identical way of viewing the trades and I think he put many of the viewpoints into words in a way that I had been previously unable to. I hope you enjoy listening to this discussion as much as I did recording it.

Don't Expect Opportunity To Seek You
Wednesday Jul 07, 2021
Wednesday Jul 07, 2021
An actual NEW episode? Whaaaat?! This week I highlight a feel good news story that more than likely won't be making the cut for your news feed. It's a great reminder that you're infinitely more likely to be gifted an unexpected opportunity when you're out in the world striving ahead rather than sitting on your couch "visualizing" one.

PJP#44 - Cancel Culture or Headline Culture?
Wednesday Jun 30, 2021
Wednesday Jun 30, 2021
Hey hey! This week I wasn't able to put in the appropriate time to record a new episode thanks to a family health issue and a record-setting heat wave rolling through locally. Next week I will be back with a new episode but this week I'm giving a replay of PJP#32. I apologize to those of you who've been following for a while, but to those of you who haven't listened back - this was one of my favorite episodes to record. We discuss "Cancel Culture" vs "Headline Culture" and why they both should be challenged.

PJP#43 - Where, How, and Why?
Wednesday Jun 23, 2021
Wednesday Jun 23, 2021
Another week to get after it! This time I draw inspiration from a previous two-time guest who has been making wildly inspirational leaps in his personal life. We take a look at the importance of maintaining long term goals, realizing and accepting the workload to accomplish them, and why we even bother to push forward after them.

PJP#42 - The Customer Is Rarely Right
Wednesday Jun 16, 2021
Wednesday Jun 16, 2021
Hey hey! This week we'll talk about why we are really hired by customers or contractors - to solve problems! Customers will have an idea of what they'd like as a finished product, but very rarely understand all the steps between starting and finishing. Apply your knowledge and expertise. Also why it can be very good to narrow your customer base, and how to utilize your experience and knowledge as a mentor and a parent.

PJP#41 - Mark: Social Distortion
Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
Mark from the podcast "Hey Mark!" is back! This time I'm joined by my favorite millennial to talk about social media and different aspects of the internet in general. How it affects us socially, mentally, and does having the world wide web at our fingertips make us smarter? I was also recently on his podcast for an entirely different discussion so if you enjoy this one, please check out his podcast as well!

PJP#40 - Dehumanization/Genocide
Wednesday Jun 02, 2021
Wednesday Jun 02, 2021
Locally and nationally we were rocked by an extremely disturbing discovery - one that brought to light an extremely dark storyline within Canada. Calling it history isn't exactly fair considering how recently the last institution shut its' doors. This week is dark, and I'm giving you this as fair warning. I will continue to do everything I can to further my education on the Residential School system within Canada. This episode also ties in different genocides and ethnocides throughout history and what mentalities link them together.

PJP#39 - Kyle: Vacci-NATION
Wednesday May 26, 2021
Wednesday May 26, 2021
Kyle has returned! After trimming a bit of the fat off the listenership his last go around, he's back and we're hammering out another controversial topic - Covid vaccines. I thoroughly enjoy these talks, and he's one of the most fun people to talk with regarding just about any topic under the sun. This time we loosely talk about vaccines and the way the narrative has switched from efficacy to virtue.
